LaSalle Catholic Middle School
LaSalle Catholic Middle School offers a vibrant and engaging environment for students in grades 5-8, combining rigorous academics, meaningful faith formation, and a wide range of extracurricular opportunities. Our goal is to help each student grow into a respectful, confident, and capable leader—academically, socially, and spiritually—preparing them to thrive in high school and beyond. Our program is built on a strong foundation of faith, service, academic excellence, and personal growth.
As students grow, so do their responsibilities and opportunities to make a difference. In middle school, our focus on the Catholic faith deepens. Students participate in annual retreats, fostering a closer relationship with Jesus Christ, strengthening friendships, and building a sense of unity and class community.
Service is a cornerstone of the middle school experience. Students engage in local, national, and international service projects, including yard work for the elderly, food drives for community food banks, and fundraising for global relief efforts. Our eighth graders eagerly anticipate the annual Rays of Hope spring service trip, traveling to Omaha’s inner city to assist the elderly and homeless, putting faith into action and embodying compassion in a tangible way.
LaSalle’s middle school curriculum is designed to meet students where they are and help them reach their full potential. Leveled classes, an Expanded Learning Program (ELP) for advanced learners, and a robust STEAM curriculum provide a strong academic foundation while preparing students for high school and beyond.
We leverage modern technology, including desktop computers, smartboards, and mobile devices, alongside dedicated, passionate educators to create a dynamic learning environment where curiosity, critical thinking, and collaboration thrive. Every student is challenged to grow academically while developing the skills and habits needed for lifelong learning.
Middle school is a time to explore interests, discover new talents, and take on challenges outside the classroom. LaSalle encourages students to participate in a wide range of extracurricular activities, including student council, athletics (football, volleyball, wrestling, basketball, cross country, swimming, track), drama, speech, band, and show choir.
As a smaller school, all students—regardless of experience or skill level—have the opportunity to fully participate in their chosen activities, build confidence, and develop leadership and teamwork skills.
“The LaSalle Brand” represents the character, respect, and responsibility that our students carry beyond the walls of our school. Teachers and staff model and reinforce respect for others, strong manners, personal responsibility, and integrity in every interaction. By fostering these qualities, LaSalle develops the whole person, equipping students with the social, emotional, and ethical foundation to succeed not only in school, but in life.
